Due to rapid advances in biotechnology, people can live to 150.

Many grow tired of living with one identity their entire lives.

They want alternative personalities, families, lifestyles, genders.

They assume new identities, modifying their bodies to escape recognition.

Eventually, nation-states catch up.

After failing to crack down identity change, they decide to legalize it.

In this future, everyone can have many legal identities.

This is the future Polypass exists in.
