For our Bloodchild adaptation, we came up with a sound installation concept focusing on the middle part of the story where Lomas, a pregnant human male carrying a Tlic child, is being cut open by Gan, the protagonist of the story. To depict the birth itself, we recorded a variety of hatching sounds using kitchen instruments. The additional sounds (light flickering, wind blowing, vent opening) were employed to craft the ambience of the piece.
